Milliken was inspired by J.C.Harrison and this painting demonstrates that fact. Milliken could paint very loose pictures, but this is one of the tightest paintings I‘ve seen by him. The birds are very well observed and it’s a particularly good composition. Colours are very strong and condition is very good.
